  1. Every resident in Bangalore dreams of our city becoming a replica of Singapore in the near future. Although we are making strides in correcting our infrastructure etc., we are still not close in showcasing how ‘mature’ our city is in par with other metros. This is because we do not project a vibrant social lifestyle that our city possesses.

It is unfortunate that our law enforcement organization keeps on putting curbs on entertainment, when they are just not willing to hear the masses. They feel in entirety that their decisions are 100% correct & no one needs to tell them of how a CITY SHOULD BE RUN.While I respect the law enforcement is taking care of the security needs of our city ,they should understand that by putting forth a strict regime, in times of”social deadlines” you would be doing more harm than good.

My humble suggestion is that deadlines for social entertainment within city limits should be extended till 2AM rather than 11:30 PM. Benefits?
1.Less number of people heading to the outskirts, where ususally there would bound to be more trouble with less security around.
    2. The more signs of a busier life on the streets, will prevent criminals for carrying out crimes,as more awareness is there among citizens.
    3. It will discourage bootleggers & underground scenes of “live entertainment”

In addition, the law enforcement organization should revist their outlook on the term”Live entertainment” .Why is there a notion that all “Live Bands” ,tend to showcase”Dancing Bar girls?” Quality Live entertainment can be provided without any hassle with law enforcers noting useful suggestions:
    1. The establishment(Hotel/Pub) will ask the live bands to furnish documents of their idenity, (residency, Age proof etc)so that for audit purposes, this can be produced to the police.

    2. A Monthly schedule given to the police by the establishments, pertaining to the program of “live entertainment” occurring within their premises.

I do hope that this government sees that this city progresses & does not regress to a state of dictatorial Stone Age. Let us all be “Open minded”
